Consumer Review Video - 1998 Buick Park Avenue 3.8L V6

Common problems and easy repairs on a 1998 Park Avenue

The 1998 Buick Park Avenue is somewhat tedious to maintain. The upper headlight housing must be removed to access any of the headlights, which can be difficult on account of its bulky size. The tail lights will also prove challenging to access, as they are spread over multiple housings that will require many different tools to be disengaged. The cabin air filter is in the footwell of the driver seat and will need a long and cramped reach in order to change it.

However, the 1998 Buick Park Avenue does have its upsides. The center brake light is accessible without the use of tools, as you can easily reach it through an opening in the roof of the trunk. The transmission dipstick can be removed without hassle when checking the fluid levels. Both the oil drain plug and the oil filter are easy to access when performing an oil change.
