The 1999 Acura TL is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for any vehicle owner. Checking the transmission fluid level with reliability is no problem, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. Changing the center brake light is easy to do, as you only have to reach through the trunk for access to the assembly. The tail light bulbs are easy to access, as you only have to peel back one easy to peel back lining in the trunk for access to the assemblies.
Some things are problematic on the 1999 Acura TL. To access the highbeam bulb on one side, you will have to move a reservoir out of the way first. Other models make this access easier. The engine coolant reservoir is not easily visible in the engine bay. This can make it hard to check the fluid level on a regular basis. You will need more tools than usual for access to the engine air filter. Other models will not require the use of tools for this repair.
