Common problems and easy repairs on a 1999 Tigra

The 1999 Opel Tigra 1.4i is moderately easy to maintain. The engine coolant reservoir is visible in the engine bay, making it easy to regularly check the fluid level. Changing the headlight with reliability is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the assembly. You won’t need any tools to change the front or rear wiper blade on this vehicle.

Some things are problematic on the 1999 Opel Tigra 1.4i. The brake fluid reservoir is not overly visible in the engine bay, making it difficult to check the fluid level with reliability. To change one of the front turn signal bulbs you will need to use a panel tool to pry out the housing. You will have to make a tough reach in the engine bay in order to get to the lower radiator hose, requiring you to reach past hot engine parts.
