Consumer Review Video - 2001 Daewoo Matiz SE 0.8L 3 Cyl.

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2001 Matiz

The 2001 Daewoo Matiz SE is relatively easy to maintain. Many of the headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the bulb housing, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Accessing the tail lights is also rather simple, as their single bulb housing pries out of the vehicle without a problem after the removal of a couple of screws. The spare tire and jack kit are quick to find, easy to remove, and simple to set up, allowing you to attend to a flat without hassle.

However, the 2001 Daewoo Matiz SE has its downsides. The front bumper must be disconnected in order to access the parking light and turn signal, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Accessing the engine air filter may be a problem given the tools you’ll need to disengage its housing. The center brake light is not an LED bulb and will require more maintenance over time.
