Common problems and easy repairs on a 2003 Fiesta

The 2003 Ford Fiesta TDCi is a moderately difficult vehicle to maintain, and will require the use of many tools. You will need to remove the grille, and a few screws, in order to remove the headlight housing to change the headlight bulb. Changing the engine air filter will require more tools than usual, as you will have to remove torx bolts in order to lift the cover. Other models make this easier to access. The cabin air filter is extremely complicated to access. You will need to use many different tools to remove many covers to reach the filter.

Some things are easier on the 2003 Ford Fiesta TDCi. Changing the front or rear wiper blades with reliability is no problem, as you only have to disengage some tabs to remove either blade. Other models will require the use of tools to complete. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. Checking the oil level is no problem, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check the fluid level regularly.
