Common problems and easy repairs on a 2003 Santa Fe

The 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS is easy to maintain. The fuses boxes are quick to access, and the engine fuse box comes provided with a fuse puller to make for reliable fuse changes. The transmission dipstick is also easy to access as you won’t have to make a long or cramped reach to remove it. Changing the engine air filter isn’t a problem, as the housing disengages without the use of tools and gives you direct access to the filter.

However, the 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS has its downsides. You will have to remove the top headlight housing for access to many of the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. You’ll have to work underneath the vehicle to remove a large, bulky panel for access to the lower radiator hose. Reaching the spare tire may be a problem as it could become rusted to the undercarriage.
