Consumer Review Video - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor 1.8L 4 Cyl. Supercharged Coupe (2 Door)

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2003 C230

The 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor has some surprisingly easy procedures. Many of the headlights are accessible by reaching behind the main housing and removing the respective covers, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Reaching the tail lights won’t be a problem, either, as they are accessible in a single bulb assembly behind a single cover that removes without the use of tools. The cabin air filter has unobstructed access in the engine bay that will allow for easy filter changes.

However, the 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor has quite a few challenging procedures. The fog light and parking light will require tools for access to their bulbs, while also putting you in awkward positions to work in. Checking the oil level may be a problem as you’ll have to do so via the electronic menu, which can be rather time-consuming. The presence of large panels underneath the vehicle won’t allow for reliable oil changes.
