The 2003 Oldsmobile Alero GL is an easier car to maintain than other models. The battery is easier to remove than it is on other models as the battery bracket that secures the battery is easily accessible. Setting the clock is also easy, as there are designated buttons for setting the time. Checking the oil is easy as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.

There are a few slightly more difficult aspects to repairing the 2003 Oldsmobile Alero GL. Removing the tail light housing is more complicated than it is on other similar models. The headlight housing is moderately difficult to remove, as you will have to disengage a few clips in order to remove the housing. Removing the engine air filter is more difficult than it is on other cars, as you will have to loosen a few bolts for access.
