Consumer Review Video - 2004 Ford Thunderbird 3.9L V8

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2004 Thunderbird

The 2004 Ford Thunderbird is a relatively easy car to maintain. Its spare tire and jack kit are conveniently packaged together in the trunk, allowing for reliable access in the event of a flat. Its battery is also located in the trunk, with open access to its bracket that allows for simple replacement. The engine air filter is no problem to find in the engine bay, and its housing doesn’t require any tools to be removed.

However, the 2004 Ford Thunderbird has its share of complicated procedures. You will need to remove the entire bulb housing to access the headlights, and it’s held on by multiple clips and odd-sized bolts. The tail lights’ bulb housing will also need to be removed, and access to its bolts may prove very tedious. Its cabin air filter also has cumbersome access and will require you to navigate around in the cowl to reach it.
