Consumer Review Video - 2005 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L 4 Cyl.

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2005 Sunfire

The 2005 Pontiac Sunfire is a relatively difficult vehicle to maintain, due to the difficult access for all of the headlight bulbs. Accessing the headlight is difficult, as you will need to use many tools in order to complete many steps for access. You will need to remove torx bolts in order to access the center brake light bulb. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair. To access the fog light, you will have to remove the headlight housing, then make a tough reach to disengage the fog light housing for access.

Some things are easier to repair on the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Accessing the tail light bulb is not too difficult, as you only have to peel back one fastener and one lining for access to the bulb. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
