Common problems and easy repairs on a 2006 Explorer

The 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain and a good choice for the average vehicle owner. The power steering reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis. Changing the engine air filter with reliability is no problem, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the front of the engine bay. You won’t have to look far to read or refill the reservoir.

Some things are problematic on the 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. You will have to completely remove the tail light housing for access to the tail light bulb. This will require a few tools to complete. To reach the headlight bulb you will have to remove the entire bulb housing first. The tools necessary may not be readily available. Setting the clock can be tough, as you will have to press the menu button first, which is not a very intuitive set-up..
