Consumer Review Video - 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport 2.5L V6 FlexFuel

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2007 C230

The 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport is a moderately difficult vehicle to maintain, but shouldn’t be too hard for those capable of vehicle maintenance. You will have to remove a large panel from under the vehicle for access to the petcock. This will require you to contend with gravity as you complete. Changing the fog light with reliability is a problem, as you will have to remove the wheel well lining for access. This is a cramped space to work in. The engine air filter is more difficult to access than usual, as you will have to use more tools to complete more steps than you will have to on other models.

Some things are easier on the 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport. Changing the headlight is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the assembly. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
