Common problems and easy repairs on a 2008 Compass

The 2008 Jeep Compass Sport is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain and a good choice for any vehicle owner. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Changing the headlight with reliability is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the assembly. The engine air filter is easy to access and change. You only have to disengage a few fasteners for access.

Some things are problematic on the 2008 Jeep Compass Sport. You will have to use a few tools to peel back the wheel well lining for access to the fog light. This lining can grow tight to the vehicle and be difficult to peel back. Changing the cabin air filter can be difficult to do, as you will have to lower the glove box for access. You will have to completely remove the tail light housing for access to the tail light. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair.
