The 2008 Saturn Aura XE is a somewhat easy car to maintain. The brake fluid reservoir has relatively open access, allowing you to reliably monitor its fluid level on a regular basis. The tail light housing can be removed without the use of any tools, so changing any of the bulbs shouldn’t be a problem. The engine air filter also doesn’t require any tools for its removal, allowing you to change it with great ease.
However, the 2008 Saturn Aura XE does have its downsides. All of the headlights have incredibly convoluted access, as multiple panels including the bumper will need to be removed to reach the bulbs, which won’t allow for reliable changes. Monitoring the transmission fluid levels may be a problem as the reservoir cap is located deep in the engine bay and lacks a dipstick. The fuses may be troublesome to access, too, given their multiple covers and awkward locations.
