Consumer Review Video - 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4L 4 Cyl.

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2009 Vibe

The 2009 Pontiac Vibe is a relatively easy car to maintain, and a good choice for the experienced car owner. The tail light bulb is reliably accessible on this vehicle, as there is a designated panel in the rear of the vehicle for access to the bulb. Accessing the components of the spare tire is no problem, as they are located in an easily accessible spot in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy to do, as the fluid dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Other models do not include this dipstick.

Some things are tougher to maintain on the 2009 Pontiac Vibe. You will have to remove a panel from under the vehicle in order to access the petcock. This will require the use of many tools, and for you to crawl beneath the vehicle, to complete. To access the cabin air filter, you will have to lower the glove box first. This would have been much easier if there were a designated panel in the rear of the glove box for access. Removing the wiper blade is more difficult on this car than on other models, as you will need to use a tool to remove the blade.
