Consumer Review Video - 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT 2.0L 4 Cyl. Mini Cargo Van

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2010 Transit Connect

The 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, but is only recommended to those capable of complex vehicle maintenance. Checking the transmission fluid level with reliability is no problem, as the fluid dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. Changing the headlight is easy to do, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the bulb. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.

Some things are more problematic on the 2010 Ford Transit Connect XLT. You will have to use voice prompts in order to connect the Bluetooth on this vehicle. Other models will make this process much simpler. To access the spare tire you will have to lower it from under the vehicle first. The lowering mechanism can grow rusted to the vehicle over time and be difficult to turn. You will have to remove many screws to access the cabin air filter. The tools necessary may not be readily available for a repair.
