The 2010 Scion xB is a relatively easy vehicle to maintain, and a good choice for the average vehicle owner. Changing the headlight bulb with reliability is no problem, as you only have to reach behind the housing for access to the assembly. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy to do, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency.
Some things are problematic on the 2010 Scion xB. You will have to peel down a panel under the vehicle for access to the fog light. This will require you to contend with gravity as you use tools to complete. Changing the cabin air filter can be tough, as you will have to lower the glove box for access. This would have been easier if there were an access panel in the rear of the glove box instead. The brake fluid reservoir is not overly visible in the engine bay, which will make it difficult to keep an eye on the fluid level.
