Common problems and easy repairs on a 2011 Forester

The 2011 Subaru Forester X is a relatively easy car to maintain, and a good choice for the average car owner. Both the front and rear wiper blades are no problem to replace. Other models will require the use of tools in order to reliably replace, so it’s a nice touch to be able to do this with just your hands. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency. Checking the oil level is easy to do, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.

Some things are tougher to maintain on the 2011 Subaru Forester X. To access the headlight on one side, you will have to remove the air filter intake first. This requires the use of a few tools in order to complete. In order to access the cabin air filter, you will have to lower the glove box for access to the filter. This would have been much easier if there were a designated panel in the rear of the glove box for access. You will have to remove a few bolts in order to remove the tail light housing in order to access the tail lights. This will require tools you may not have readily available for a repair.
