Consumer Review Video - 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL 2.0L 4 Cyl.

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2013 C-Max

The 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL is difficult to maintain. The engine air filter is located on the underside of the engine cover, and multiple hoses and fasteners must be removed before the filter can be reached. The cabin air filter requires the entire glove box housing be removed first, which won’t allow for reliable filter changes. Fixing a flat tire may be problematic, as the vehicle only comes with a compressor kit as opposed to a spare tire and jack kit.

However, the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL does have its upsides. All of the fuse boxes are relatively easy to find, and the engine fuse box comes with a fuse puller to allow for reliable fuse changes. It won’t be a problem to reach the brake fluid reservoir on account of the open access. The engine coolant reservoir is also easy to access for monitoring the fluid level.
