SEAT

SEAT is a Spanish car Company that is based in Martorell and is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. During the 80s, the VW Group acquired full ownership of SEAT and often uses SEAT factories for the production of VW and Audi models in addition to SEAT vehicles.

While SEAT began in the 50s, it wasn’t until the sales success of the 1984 SEAT Ibiza hatchback propelled the Company forward to become a major European player. SEAT grew and released the Cordoba, Alhambra, Altea, Arosa and Toledo along with new Ibiza models moving forward. SEAT typically names its vehicles from various places in Spain – allowing drivers to go to Ibiza in an Ibiza!

Modern SEAT models are characterized by hatchbacks, wagons and some saloons. While its more popular modes like the Ibiza and Leon are priced on the more affordable side, the Company has had some success with its larger Alhambra and FR.
